Törggelen in South Tyrol
The delicious, brown chestnut has defined the South Tyrolean autumn for hundreds of years! The places where chestnuts and wine grow, such as farms and vineyards, open their taverns and farm parlours from October until the end of November to celebrate Törggelen. One such place is the "Mitteregghof" farm, listed as a historical monument on the sunny slopes of Rifiano.
