The Novacella monastery
The Abbazia Di Novacella monastery is a well known spiritual landmark in South Tyrol. Dating back to the 12th Century, the monastery today is managed by Augustinian Canons and is open to the public all year round from Monday to Saturday. Guided tours are also on offer. Here we meet Prelate Eduart Fischnaller as we travel through the different epochs of the monastery where we also meet Ernst Überbacher, a monastery scholar, who enthusiastically shows us around.
