The Chestnut Trail of Foiana
The entrance to the Ultimo Valley is home to the village of Foiana. Located at an altitude of 700m and surrounded by orchards and chestnut groves, this picturesque town presents its best side during autumn. In 2008 an educational trail was opened here. The trail focuses on chestnuts and the easygoing 2km long walk winds through the chestnut groves of the surrounding area. In total, ten stations are offering all kinds of information concerning chestnut trees and the valuable nuts they produce. The trail is an optimal destination for adults and children.
