Stone Cairns
The Stone Cairns (Stoanerne Mandln, in German) – a mystique place in the Alpi Sarentine alps. More than 100 cairns line up like a troop of soldiers around the weather cross on the ridge of the Hohe Reisch at around 2.000 m a.s.l. The history and meaning of this legendary power place is not entirely clear. It could be a Celtic cult site or even a place for witches' dances; or shepherds built the cairns just to pass the time.
