St. Stephen’s Chapel in Morter
Morter, a village at the entrance to the Martello Valley in the Val Venosta Valley, hosts a hidden art treasure: the St. Stephen’s Chapel near the castle ruins of Montani di Sopra and Montani di Sotto. This church in Romanesque Style boasts hidden masterpieces on its inside: marvelous frescoes covering the whole nave, painted by Italian and German artists.
