Sabiona Monastery
The famous Sabiona Monastery, found in the Isarco Valley comes into view when driving along the Brennero highway past the city of Bressanone. Mounted on a rocky hill, the monastery is still home to a few nuns, however, the nuns cannot see tourists due to the strict oaths they have sworn. The monastery can only be reached by foot. We begin our journey today in the small city of Chiusa, well known for its art. Here we meet our guide Sepp Krismer at the Church of Our Lady.
