His worldwide experiences are decisive for Reinhold Messner's museum concept: his six Messner Mountain Museums are spread all over South Tyrol and also in the Veneto. The Messner Mountain Museum at Castel Firmiano near Bolzano, however, is the core, the centre of the project and focuses on the relationship between humans and mountains.
