Lake Colle in winter
Near Aldino, at about 1,000 metres above sea level, a white blanket of snow covers the frozen Lake Colle, Göllersee in German, and its surroundings. Surrounded by a coniferous forest, in former times it was known as Rotwandsee (Red Wall Lake). In winter Lake Colle is immersed in an almost magical atmosphere.
