Castel Welsperg

Castel Welsperg, located in the village of Monguelfo in the Pusteria Valley, is the oldest and most fortified castle found between Brunico and Lienz. First mentioned in 1167, this unusual castle is characterized by its extraordinarily high and lean castle keep. The castle is open to the public from the beginning of July until the beginning of September.
