Behind these impressive walls, life has been following the rules of St. Benedict for over 900 years. For centuries, a spirituality felt coursing throughout the Benedictine Abbey of Monte Maria in the Venosta Valley is still an integral part of this community. Today, this treasure in its material and spiritual form is open to everyone: The Abbey museum "ora et labora", the precious library, the beautiful church of St. Stephen, as well as the monastery café and the guest house.
